I think I had a way too much fun being my little cousin’s photographer for the weekend. Everyone, I would love you all to meet the silly and sweet cousin, Joanie Jeanniton. Last minute, I was asked to be the photographer of Joanie’s sweet sixteen. As a photographer, I’m not a fan of doing events like parties and weddings but, I would do anything for my family.
The day before her party we had planned to have a small photoshoot at the park but, things didn’t go the way we planned. The sun started to set and we had no professional studio to go to. I thought to myself alright, I could use my white backdrop and umbrella lights to do the photo shoot in my bedroom; thank God for my creative mother who gave me the idea to do use a black backdrop instead.
Doesn’t she look like a beauty pageant queen? These photos came out way better than I expected. I love doing portrait photography, I love being able to interact with people on a different level; it’s one thing to get to know someone on a personal level but, try getting to know them behind a camera. Now let’s get the party started. The theme of the party was glow in the dark.
Shout out to my mother who design the cake and decorated the party as well. Being in a room full of high schoolers was surprisingly fun. These teenagers were very mature for their age. Good job Joanie for picking a great group of friends. They were very energetic, funny and sure know how to party.
To Joanie, I enjoy being part of your special day and thank you for letting me photograph these priceless moments for you. I love you and love the woman of God you’ve become. You’re one of the most down to earth cousin and I am so excited to see where your life will be 10 years from now. Stay Golden♥.
