Whoa! Hold your horses, no need to be offended or think this blog post is sexist. This is for all my Christian woman out there, but, if you’re not interested in reading, then carry on. This post is part of my YouTube blog series that I’ve mentioned in my previous post “Life Is Random So Why Not Blog About Random Things.” You could find a short video clip of me discussing this topic on my channel. Warning the video was created in 2015 when I first started YouTube, all I can say is AWKWARD. Until then, let’s read 4 reasons Why Women Shouldn’t Chase Men.
Biblical Reasons Why
1. It Is Not Our Place Ladies.
Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife finds what is good
and receives favor from the Lord.”
When I study the Women in the bible I don’t often see that woman pursue the men. The ONLY time is with those mentioned as prostitutes-that speaks volumes to me.
“The woman approached him, seductively dressed and sly of heart. She was the brash, rebellious type, never content to stay at home.
She is often in the streets and markets, soliciting at every corner. She threw her arms around him and kissed him,
and with a brazen look she said,
“I’ve just made my peace offerings
and fulfilled my vows. You’re the one I was looking for!
I came out to find you, and here you are!”
2. We Should Be Preparing.
Ruth and Esther are two perfect examples when it comes to preparing. I encourage you to read both chapters in the bible. Ruth focus wasn’t marriage, but serving people and God. Same goes for Esther…even though she was in the process of becoming a wife.
Personal Reasons Why
3. We’re to emotional
Now I believe as woman we can be both logical and emotional when it comes to making a decision or whatever the case may be but, let’s face the truth my woman believers. When we see a man of God that we find attractive we automatically assume he could be the one for us. We’re already daydreaming how he’s going to propose to us. Sometimes our emotional decision can cause us not to see reality and when we live off these false illusions it can hinder us spiritually.
4. It’s unattractive.
The ugly truth is an honest man of God finds it unattractive when women chase them. Trust me, I know I have brothers and a lot of guy cousins. Should I go into more details about this? It’s pretty self-explanatory. Now understand the difference between showing interest and chasing. Again, when you study the book of Ruth you will notice how Ruth showed interested in Boaz without looking thirsty.
If you are interested in me writing or making a video on how to show interested in a guy without chasing, comment down below or any blog topic you would love for me to discuss please comment below as well.
